Buchholz represents a very heterogeneous wine-growing region, whose morphological and soil-climatic diversity guarantees a special location for the cultivation of the Chardonnay variety. The climatic conditions are characteristic of this region. The temperature in the higher areas is about 6 °C (43 °F) lower than in the areas at the bottom of the valley. From April to October there are constant air movements of two land winds blowing at certain times of the day: a warmer afternoon wind from the south (“Ora”) and a cool breeze in the morning hours from the north.
